noisy neighbors

-homeless are in the parking lot/at the trash bins every day; want-to-be gangsters roam the parking lot -parking is always available, however there is a $50 fee for the sticker. Despite this, there are cars (many of them from Mexico) without stickers parked in the lot all the time, and when the tenants call the towing company, they refuse to come and tow the cars, unless the office staff makes the call (very rarely do they check). Not once have I seen someone towed out of that lot. Ridiculous. I want my money back for my sticker. -the landscaping is nice. the pool and hot tub looks clean, but it's often filled with loud, obnoxious older teenagers, yelling at the top of their lungs. -the office staff is generally friendly, and understanding, but rarely are complaints followed up on. -maintenance is 'hit and miss'. Water is turned off at least once a month, because the pipes are in horrible condition. The ground floor apartments are hit the worst with water damage, and people drilling up their floors to fix the leak. -the units are in fair condition. The floors are soft and 'spongy' under and around the dishwasher and the toilet. When the maintenance person was asked about this, he said it was a permanent 'patch job'. -noise....the neighbors are very inconsiderate of others. Children run on the pavement without adult supervision, screaming and playing, while banging objects agains the railing, or bouncing balls off the walls of the apartments. The walls are so thin that the bass of any type of music can be heard and FELT; shouting parents and running, screaming children, slamming of doors and cupboard doors are easily heard, and disturb sleep quality. Since the apartments are at a busy intersection, the noise from cars and car alarms is quite typical for the area. -there is a laundry room - washers are $1 and dryers are $0.75. Unless you want your wash to stay wet, you have to keep an eye on the laundry room though, because people tend to open the dryers and not push the button again. Many of the washers and dryers are frequently out of order, and people leave their lint and dryer sheets on the floor, instead of burning the extra calorie of removing it from the lint trap/barrel and inserting it into the trash cans behind them. -Despite the good price for San Diego County, and the nice landscaping, as well as the availability of a pool and hot tub, the negatives far outweigh the positives. I would not recommend these apartments to anyone, unless they are not bothered by loud, inconsiderate neighbors.
